20 Asian Meals On The Table in 15 Minutes

If you didn’t make a batch of freezer friendly meals for this coming week, then here’s a solution for you: 20 Quick Asian Meals you can make in 15 minutes FROM SCRATCH with EVERYDAY INGREDIENTS! Asian food is great for fast, fresh meals because they are typically cooked very quickly over high heat.

Banner for 20 Quick Asian Meals you can make in 15 Minutes, from scratch. All these recipes are on the table in 15 minutes, made from scratch. The great thing is that there are so many common ingredients, once you get a few Asian pantry essentials, all of which you can get from supermarkets, you’ll have the base for all of these recipes. Note: The assumption I’ve made by classifying these all as “15 minute meals” are that: a) All your ingredients are on the counter, washed and ready to cut/prepare. I can’t factor in if it takes you 5 minutes to find the vegetables you need in the dark corners of your fridge! b) You have reasonable chopping skills with a half decent set of knives. If it takes you about 5 minutes to dice an onion, then add 5 minutes to the preparation time of each recipe. They’re still quick fix meals though! Or choose recipes with minimal chopping ๐Ÿ™‚

Thai Stir Fried Noodles (Pad See Ew) – one of the most popular recipes on RecipeTin Eats, a classic Thai takeout you can make at home in 15 minutes – that’s faster than ordering in!!

Pad See Ew, Thai stir fried noodles, a very popular Thai Street food, with chicken and Chinese Broccoli (kai-lan). On the table in 15 minutes.

Thai Chilli Basil Chicken Stir Fry – another popular Thai takeout dish! It’s amazing how quickly you can make this. Don’t worry if you can’t find Thai Basil, ordinary basil is a perfectly good substitute!

Chinese Chicken and Corn Soup – a Chinese restaurant classic. Amaze yourself how fast and easy it is to make at home!

Bowl of Chinese Chicken and Corn Soup

Spicy Thai Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) (Drunken Noodles) – one of my personal favourites. I love the strong salty, spicy flavours of this classic Thai street food!

10 Classic Chinese Stir Fries Using Homemade Real Chinese All Purpose Stir Fry Sauce. The stir fry sauce will take you a mere 2 minutes to make and you can store it in the fridge to have one hand for quick stir fries. It’s a real authentic Chinese stir fry sauce and it keeps for weeks! It’s fabulously versatile to use as a base to make a huge range of classic Chinese stir fries, including Cashew Chicken, Beef with Broccoli and Chow Mein. 10 recipes in one handy place!

Build Your Own Stir Fried Noodles – a basic “formula” so you will never need a recipe again to make stir fried noodles!

Stir fry noodles on a plate

Mapo Tofu – the Japanese version of this famous Sichuan spicy dish (Mapo Tofu/Mapo Doufu) is made with readily available ingredients and it is a lot less oily but is still an incredible flavour explosion in a bowl. It’s so delicious that I want the sauce on tap!

Bowl of Mabo-dofu, a Japanese version of the famous Sichuan Dish

Crunchy Asian Chicken Salad – this is like an Asian ‘slaw. So healthy, so fresh, with fabulous crunch and an awesome dressing that you’ll use time and time again.

Soba with Green Beans and Beef – one of my personal favourites. The dressing is so smooth and matches perfectly with the juicy beef. By slicing the beef, a little but goes a long way, making this a great cost effective elegant meal for mid week.

Soba with Green Beans and Beef in a bowl with chopsticks

Stir Fried Green Beans with Pork or Beef Mince (Ground Pork / Beef) – this recipe is straight from my mother, a dish she was taught by her mother. A classic Japanese homemade meal with an intense flavour that is so easy and fast to make from scratch!

Packet Ramen Makeover – this is how you make packet ramen into a nutritious meal. The reality is, normal people can’t make a decent ramen soup stock at home – I’ve tried, and it’s just not possible for ordinary people. So use a packet ramen, but add a saucy stir fry topping to make it into a complete meal.

I hope you enjoyed this round up! If you enjoyed this, you might enjoy my other 15 Minute Meals – you can see the whole collection of 15 minute Dinners here.

I enjoy Asian food but must watch the sodium/salt content & also don’t eat red meat so it’s foul & fish. So will check out those that work for me & where I can make substitutes. Thank you

Iโ€™ve now made the poached chicken with dipping sauces several times (now known in my house as โ€œdippin chickenโ€!) and my husband and young kids go crazy for it. Even cooking more chicken in a bigger pot, the timing is still consistent. Super easy to do during weekly meal prep. Thanks!

Hi just tried your โ€œall purpose stir fry sauce โ€œ and it was real good. I am allergic to shell fish and the oyster sauce has oyster and their crushed shells it. Is there a substitute for that. My husband wanted me to use it so I did and letโ€™s hope we donโ€™t have to make a trip to the hospital. Lol. We cook Chinese and Asian dishes often. We also make our own chicken egg rolls, we make up large batches and freeze them for later meals. One recipe that we can never find in all the Chinese cook books that we have is a โ€œ hunan chicken recipeโ€. We both love it and always order it when we go out to eat. Do you have a recipe for it? And will you share with us, please. Thank you!

There is a mock vegetarian oyster sauce made from mushrooms that a lot of vegans use and like. I don’t know the brand names of those, but Amazon.com might be a quick reference for those, with a search for vegetarian oyster sauce. Hope you hadn’t needed to resort to an epi-pen!

Hi Liro, I’m so glad you enjoy my blog! I haven’t shared a Pho recipe because actually, it requires some fairly specialised ingredients that are quite hard to source, even from me! The stock is the secret ๐Ÿ™‚ I will jot it down though and keep it in mind! I do love homemade Pho. It’s so delicious!

These spicy thai noodles are my favorite! But every single one of these recipes seems perfect for a quick lunch /dinner. Great way to use up those vegetables in the fridge and still have something different every day. I love your blog!!!
