A special gift for my readers – my Asian Takeout recipe book!!
🎉🎉🎉HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!🎉🎉🎉
And….
SURPRISE!!
A late Christmas present / Happy New Year gift for my readers – my Asian Takeout eCookbook!
A couple of months ago, I put up a vote for the theme for the next free eCookbook. Oh bugger, wait a sec. I just checked….and it was waaaay more than a couple of months ago, it was back in August when I put the vote up.
Let me start again.
Thank you for your patience while I put the e-cookbook together!! 😂 The long awaited next free e-cookbook is here – ta da!!!! A free e-cookbook jam packed with Asian Takeout recipes, 42 of them to be exact. 🙂 All your favourites, from Fried Rice to Spring Rolls/Egg Rolls, Laksa to Chow Mein and Pad See Ew, neatly packaged up in one handy dandy e-Cookbook!
The recipes in the cookbook are on my website, but it’s nice to have them collated in one e-Cookbook, don’t you think? 🙂 Some of the recipes are a bit summarised (I’ve been told that I can ramble on sometimes and there’s no room for that in a cookbook! 😂) so if you want the full details, notes and for many of them, a recipe video, just pop over here to read the full recipe. 🙂
Why am I giving away a free e-cookbook??
I offer free e-cookbooks as a thank you when people join my email list. Joining my email list is entirely free, it just means that you get an email from me when I publish a new recipe.
You’d be surprised (or maybe not!) how many suspicious emails I get from people before they join my email list, thinking I’m offering the free e-cookbooks to trick them into some kind of payment or scam. I actually can’t say I blame them, in this day and age where internet scams are a genuine risk.
From my perspective, it’s as simple as this:
I make a living from this website. I have no other source of income, I’m pretty much the opposite of a trust-fund baby. 😂
The income I earn is generated mostly from digital ads which you see displayed on my website. And the amount of ad revenue I earn is predominantly driven by how many people visit my website.
And thus we come to the heart of why I offer free e-cookbooks for people to join my email list – to grow my readership by encouraging new readers and more importantly, as a gesture of appreciation to my current readers. For reading, for trying my recipes, sharing your feedback and thoughts, proofreading (yes you do!), giving me inspiration, for making me laugh and sometimes even making me cry, for sharing my recipes on social media, with your family and friends.
RecipeTin Eats is what it is because of you, and this Asian Takeout eCookbook is just a little thank you gift. 🙂

Once you have the links, here’s a Step-by-Step Guide for how to download the recipe books.

New Readers (or wanting to rejoin!)
If you’re a new reader, then just join my email list (which is free, always will be, is 100% no strings attached!!) and you’ll receive an email to download the Asian Takeout e-Cookbook along with the other two free e-Cookbooks! Though…. I must confess…..I have been taking a bit of a break and am a wee bit behind responding to messages….
I’m officially back on the job tomorrow! So if you’re pending a response to a question, please be patient – I have half a day blocked out tomorrow just to respond to messages.
I hope you enjoy the Asian Takeout eCookbook!! And Happy New Year!! ~ Nagi xx

Hi Nagi!
I love love your blog! I have tried so many of your recipes, they are just simply delicious and more importantly easy to follow instructions ☺️ My family have certainly enjoyed eating all those dishes I’ve cooked from your website (Mexican chicken rice, homemade pastrami, falafels, quesadillas, crispy roast pork…just to name a few!) Thank you so much for sharing. Ever so grateful to have your resource of cooking knowledge.
Wondered if you could do Hainanese Chicken Rice and the trimmings. Our family totally adore this dish, brings back memories of home (Malaysia) which we are missing right now😓
Hope you are well, take care xx Kaz

Hi Nagi,
I’m glad that I had found your website. I was looking for crispy noodles recipe and I followed your recipe step by step. In my surprise it taste like a proper take away meal…to be honest I normally adjust and don’t following everything when I’m copying someone’s recipe but yours was spot-on! I’m happy with the result.
This made me explore your website and wow you have a lot of beautiful dishes! I’ve even made the cornbread muffin that same night. It was nice however, as I have a sweet tooth I might increase the sugar next time.
Thank you for your kindness sharing delicious recipes and for the free e-cooking book!

Nagi last night I stumbled across your site and I think I have found heaven on earth. Your recipes are just what I need to reinvigorate my taste buds. I can’t wait to try some of them. Brilliant thank you.
Stuart Snyder says
This is the best recipe site I have found. I love Chinese and slow cooking. What I love is how simple this is with a short video displaying how to make each dish with a list of all the ingredients. Most other sites have a complex lengthy video not listing ingredients or no video. Looking forward to trying out these simple to make delicious recipes.
Nagi says
Thanks so much for the awesome feedback Stuart, I truly appreciate it! N x
J-Mom says
Thank you for the new cookbook! Since moving into a small apartment with a tiny kitchen and starting a pretty busy job, I haven’t been in the mood to cook that much. But this book whetted my appetite. I’ve already tired the Chinese Corn Soup with Chicken. It hit the spot!
Nagi says
You’re so welcome J-Mom! Hope you enjoy it! N xx

I don’t normally make comments, but here goes……..
When I retired 3 years ago I subscribed to a dozen blogger’s sites because the recipes were so interesting and I wanted to prepare better meals than the same-o-same-o quick ones I made for years after a long day at work. Since then, one by one, I have unsubscribed to the others because I’m not inspired by the current recipes being posted anymore; they’ve become monotonous. I only have 2 bloggers that I thoroughly enjoy and YOU are my #1. I look forward to your email and get excited to see what’s new in Nagiland! I enjoy your breakdown of the recipe, the step-by-step features and especially the “Notes” at the end. You are amazing and I applaud you for leaving that corporate world behind and doing what you L-O-V-E. Keep sauteing!
Melissa says
I just wanted to comment (which I don’t normally do – total lurker here!) Your site is fantastic as are your recipes! I love that you make things look fabulous but nothing seems too difficult for the non professional cook. I also love the photos of Dozer!
Nagi says
Hi Melissa, thanks so much for taking the time to leave me a message! I’m so pleased to hear you’re enjoying my recipes – and DOZER of course!! 🙂 N xx
Mary says
Link in the email doesn’t work, nor do any of the links on this page for Chinese Takeout ebook.

Correction….Asian Takeout.
Don Bischoff says
This is a real puzzler. I’ve been trying to download the Asian Takeout Recipe Book for the past 8 days, using two different computers and two different browsers on each. All I get is a dead link. Finally I was able to download it to my tablet then emailed it to myself. When I tried to open it I got a message stating that it was a damaged file and couldn’t be opened. I emailed it twice more with the same result. Finally I added it into drop box and again same message. I checked to make sure I had the latest version of Acrobat and I do. I can open both of the previous books no problem. This is just bizarre.
Nagi says
Hi Don! And you’ve been trying the links in the new emails I send to you with each new recipe? The ones at the top of the email?? 🙂 N x
Don Bischoff says
Well darn, I never noticed the new links. I’ll check it out when the next email arrives and let you know. Thanks for the fast response and thanks for all of the great recipes throughout the years.
Don Bischoff says
It just gets “curiouser and curiouser”. Last evening when I was sending myself the multiple emails I inadvertently sent one to my son whose name is Dan, just one letter different from Don. This morning he sent me an email thanking me for the Asian Takeout recipe book. It opened for him. I had him email it to me and it opened perfectly on my machine. Go Figure!
Don Bischoff says
By the way Nagi, this book is beautiful and the recipes look delectable. I’ll be road testing it real soon. So again, thanks for your generosity.

Hi Jerry! It might just be that there are too many people trying at the same time! Links go out with every email so they are there to retry at anytime!
I have tried all hours and when I click on the link no response it is like clicking on any other place on the e-mail no results.
Nagi says
Hi Jerry – I’m sorry to hear that, the links are definitely working! How is your internet capacity where you are??
Brooke Morrison says

Hi Nagi , thank you thank you thank you, for giving us home cooks wonderful flavoursome and easy recipes with all the numerous tip and tricks along the way! Himself (my other half) loved the chicken wings and yes I was so very careful to use the correct ingredient. Now about the downloads, (I use Windows 10) but cannot download the free e.books. i have tried on a couple of occasions. Is there still a problem with the “system”? Of interest and concern to me personally is that there are numerous “misleading links” to other recipe downloads, which appear and could deceive the readers who are not so aware! Following is one such link that I have cut and pasted.
Recipe Download Get Quick & Easy Recipes. Download All Recipes Free! recipes-pro.com/Recipes
I am sure that this is not one of your website download links. If it is then please let me know, as I really want to try some other recipes of yours. Again thanks and best wishes for a happy, healthy & harmonious 2018..
Mazza B says
Nagi, woo hoo, success at last have just downloaded all three of your recipe books this morning (9th Jan). Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I have just successfully downloaded all three of your recipe books, very much appreciate your generosity and cannot wait to put them to good use~
Whilst as a 1941 edition Aussie kid, I was bought up on diet of 4/5 vegetables every week day night, with mashed potato, mashed pumpkin, carrots and beans or peas (oh and Aunty Lou’s overcooked smelly “grey” cabbage) yuk! All the vegetables were home grown from the vegetable garden, with the regular exchange of excess produce between relatives and friends and then the blessed lamb chops, – four or five nights a week, with a roast leg of lamb and roast vegetables for Sunday lunch, with a Shepherd’s pie on Monday.!
Nagi, I had a wonderful soulmate “my other mother” with an English father and a Singaporean mother was born in Singapore. Briefly, as a young married mother with two small children, she and her children, were evacuated from Singapore in the early 1940’s and were initially sent to Brisbane. As a teenager when we first met (she was the mother of a girlfriend Marion, and Marion and I still remain friends and in contact up until this day – some 60 years later) Wink, (as I called her), used to tell me that on her arrival in our country, she could not stand the smell of Australians. Obviously, my initial reaction was how can this be? What is the smell? Lamb she said – you all smell like lamb! On reflection, when I analysed our diet I knew what she was talking about, as we all ate so much lamb. The only beef we ever ate was in the form of rissole – i.e. minced beef oh and Australians of the Catholic faith, it was a no red meat every Friday, they only ever ate fish on a Friday! Also, as I then worked in big office in Sydney, I could understand where Wink was coming from, as I worked with some lovely new Italian migrants and phew they smelt of garlic! And yes, garlic, that is another vegetable ingredient introduced to the Australian Table courtesy of migrants.
In the 50- ‘s when the first wave of European migrants settled in Australia and the Italian’s shared their recipes with the locals, my mother was a lady who was a good “home cook” who baked cakes and biscuits every Saturday, and who happily embraced the “new recipes” such as bolognaise and lasagne, and we were introduced to the new vegetables at that time- capsicum. It is very difficult for us now to imagine a diet with no broccoli, kales, red cabbage, just a few of the wonderful additions to the “Australian table”.
In retirement we have travelled and I honest think that Australians have developed a much more diverse palate than most other countries in the world. Now that I have the time I like to cook a few different meals every week and bake different cakes, slices and biscuits. So am always after a recipe that jumps off the “page” and says make me, eat me!
Friends say that I am a good cook! I say no, my skill is 1) being able to read a recipe and 2) being able to get a sense of taste and flavours in the dish when following the recipe.
Nagi I know you are a busy lady, however I just thought that you might be interested in this small potted story, and small part of history and development of the “Australian Table story, which has always interested me. Again Nagi, many thanks for your prompt reply, your recipes and tips and tricks! All truly appreciated by moi!
Happy Cooking – Cheers Mazza B.
Nagi says
I have to agree with you about our Aussie palette Mazza! We are so fortunate to live in such a culturally diverse country. Thank you for your lovely message! N xx
Nagi says
Oh dear that does sound like a dodgy add has gotten through the filters 🙁 Fresh new links will go out with every email so don’t worry, you won’t miss out! Thank you for sharing that link for me, I will pass that on to the ad company to block it! N xx
