You need to work on your ‘T’s, Bob. If it turned out like soup as you said, your heat was too low, or didn’t go on long enough.
Speaking from experience, since I’m in high altitude and have to adjust all of my recipes at some point.
Plenty of people including myself followed the exact recipe and turned out perfect.

Vermouth is fortified and will last much longer in the fridge than ordinary wine.

Delicious! I substituted in beef broth, added carmelized onions, and Bragg’s 24 Herbs & Spices mix.
It’s definitely a make again recipe.
